TimberMaster Acoustic HD is a very heavy duty (HD) rubber underlay featuring a vapour moisture membrane on the underside. The top side has a soft rubber layer that sits against the underside of either laminate or wood flooring.
The 3mm thick underlay keeps floor height to a minimum, but the high density of the HD rubber material gives exceptional performance. The heavy mass gives a great stability and keeps the underlay in place. This density aids resistance to compression and absorbs impact sound to deaden footfall noise. It is perfect for residential and commercial installations where acoustic sound properties are the priority as well as giving protection against moisture.
The natural rubber material provides good thermal insulation and its stability prevents the wooden flooring from moving. TimberMaster HD underlay is designed to reduce in room and impact noise. As with all TimberMaster underlay’s the Acoustic HD includes a vapour moisture barrier to protect the wood flooring from dampness from the subfloor and other moisture penetration.
Oakwoods Tip: The TimberMaster underlays always have a built in vapour barrier foil layer to protect the wood flooring and this layer must be placed faced down onto the subfloor.
