It is recommended to have up to 10% wastage. This is to allow for cutting around the perimeter of the room, doorways, mat wells etc. Also if you want a specific look and wish to discard certain boards for aesthetic reasons.
Eiger Phoenix Wood Flooring offers the benefits of a multi-ply base and a T&G profile which easily pushes together to produce a solid floor of exceptional quality. All the boards in the Eiger Phoenix Range are manufactured with a micro bevel to all four sides of the engineered floorboard. This aids the overall plank look and helps to produce a beautiful real oak floor to enrich any interior design theme in your home.
PH102 Engineered Grey Oak is milled from European Oak selected to offer a characteristic rustic appearance grade. This includes more variation in grain patterns, natural colour variation, mineral streaks and a distribution of closed and open filled knots and small natural filled cracks.
For added peace of mind V4 Eiger Phoenix PH102 Oak Grey comes with the V4 Wood Flooring guarantee. This covers the floor for a period of thirty-five years on a residential installation and three years in commercial premises.
The surface of this FSC® 100% certified rustic oak plank is smooth sanded and then sealed with air-cured coats of translucent grey oil. The effect is a muted natural shade which highlights the natural grain and variation of the hardwood surface. The subtle air cured finish is wonderfully tactile and works well any muted colour schemes and accent colours.
The V4 PH102 Engineered Grey Oak flooring was featured in Channel 4’s Grand Designs show. Owned by actors Jonathon Broom and Deborah Sheridan-Taylor (Saskia in Eastenders), the project was shown in Series 13 of the show and the oak flooring was their favourite part of the house.
