What is V4 Eiger EC103 made from?
EC103 is an 18mm thick engineered wood floor which features a 4mm top wear layer of European Oak. V4 Eiger Boards are 190mm wide and 1.9m long. Therefore, the pack size is 1.805m2. This is made up of five boards and can have one random cut plank.
The highly sought after Eiger Engineered Oak boards are all made with a multi-ply construction, in addition to a Tongue & Groove profile on all four sides of the board. As a result, the planks simply push together for a quick and professional installation. So, this is a high-quality single plank oak engineered wood floor. Furthermore, the top wear layer is moulded with a micro bevel on all four sides of the board. This is because it helps to distinguish it from adjacent boards and to emphasise the real oak plank look to the floor.
EC103 Canyon Oak is milled from European Oak selected to offer a characteristic rustic appearance grade. This, therefore, includes more variation in grain patterns, natural colour variation, mineral streaks and a distribution of closed and open filled knots and small natural filled cracks.
It is recommended to allow up to 10% wastage allowance. This is to allow for cutting around the perimeter of the room and doorways etc. Also if you want a specific look and wish to discard certain boards for aesthetic reasons.

For added peace of mind, V4 Eiger EC103 Canyon Oak Brushed & Hardwax Oiled comes with the V4 Wood Flooring guarantee. This covers the floor for a period of thirty-five years on a residential installation. The guarantee is three years on commercial installations. For instance, a restaurant or shop.
