OSMO MS Trade Parquet Adhesive is a one-component glue specially formulated for the interior installation of most timber floors including bamboo, herringbone parquet block, engineered wood plank as well as pre-finished and unfinished solid wood flooring.

It is a solvent and isocyanate-free glue with negligible VOC content and low odour. Thanks to the special formulation the adhesive has great early strength build for immediate grab and quickly builds to a tenacious but elastic bond as the adhesive continues to cure.

Which wooden flooring is glue suitable for:

• Suitable for bonding many different types of wood floors including solid and engineered planks, mosaic floors and parquet wood blocks being glued down to porous and non-porous subfloors.
  

How to use the Osmo MS Parquet Adhesive:

• Ensure the subfloor surface is dry, clean, smooth, and dust-free before application.
  
• The Parquet glue is sealed in an aluminium foil bag to prevent air/moisture from reaching it. Open the tub and carefully cut the bag.
  
• Do not dilute the wood floor glue in any manner.
  
• The minimum temperature of the adhesive should be at least 15 °C for good processing properties.
  
• Apply the parquet adhesive with the recommended trowel.
  
• Working time is around 30 minutes at 23 °C and 50% R.H. as the glue will start to skin over in around 30-40 minutes.
  
• This MS Wood Flooring Adhesive cures with moisture through humidity, therefore, adequate air humidity is necessary for proper drying.
  
• Use the glue inside the foil bag within a short time after opening.
  
• Clean adhesive with a cloth if still wet, once hardened it can be cleaned mechanically.
  
• The curing process for this Herringbone Adhesive is usually 24 hours and so the parquet can be walked on after 24 hours.
  
• Follow the wooden flooring manufacturer’s guidelines for special precautions during installation of all engineered, solid and herringbone floors.
  
• Ensure the wooden floor is level and that at least 80% of the adhesive is in contact with the board.
  

Restrictions:

• Do not set flooring on the adhesive if the skin has formed.
  
• Do not apply on frozen surfaces or standing water.
  
• Do not use on wet, contaminated or friable substrates. Do not use subfloors that contain moisture such as timber or new concrete floors that have not completely dried out. Test moisture with a concrete moisture meter such as Tramex CME
  

Storage & Shelf Life:

• Keep in a dry and cool place in sealed packaging.
  
• Shelf life is 12 months if stored between 5 °C to 25 °C in an unopened package.

Oakwoods Tips

• For best results, use a flat V-notch trowel for glueing all solid, engineered and solid & engineered parquet floors.
  
• For dry-back wood parquet, use a square-notch trowel.
  
• The adhesive must have a minimum transfer of 80% to the wood flooring to guarantee installation.
  
• Remember to switch off underfloor heating 24 hours before, during, and after installation Then gradually build the temperature back up by following the original commissioning phase for the underfloor heating.
