This premium solid oak R ramp transition strip is made from quality European oak and milled to a smooth finish with machinery here in the UK. The R Ramp profile is designed for use as a door threshold to create a transition between floors at different heights.
Door Thresholds, also known as door bars not only cover the expansion gap but also bridge to whatever surface you may have in the adjoining room; be it lower or higher than your wood flooring.
Choose the unfinished solid oak R ramp door bar if you wish to apply your own colour stain, oil, or lacquer finish. This solid oak ramp door threshold is available in 900mm and 2700mm lengths and is perfect as a joining strip for new wood flooring ramping down to an existing floor at a lower height. For example, down to original floorboard, carpet, lino or vinyl flooring.
The rebate allows for the wooden floor to move underneath as it expands and contracts naturally with climatic moisture changes. Oakwoods door thresholds are milled from premium quality European oak in the UK and bespoke orders are possible. The underside is milled with an undulating surface to increase the surface area for maximum bond to the subfloor.
We can source door thresholds and mouldings in alternative wood species and sizes if required, please contact us for a quote.
Please note: For smoked products such as Carpenters Smokey Oak, we cannot provide Smoked trims. Instead, we will supply unfinished and a stain.
Some V4 Wood Flooring thresholds have changed to 1m and 2m instead of 900mm and 2700mm. Please contact us to confirm.
